It's all done via this handheld remote which you can actually use outside of the vehicle pretty far distance away from the vehicle so you can actually check to make sure your vehicle's level after you hook up to your trailer or you have a heavy load placed in the bed of your truck. Now this is a dual path system, which sets this apart from other compressor systems on the market, besides the fact that it's wireless as well. more

Good reason for this gauge assembly is to make it easy to use your load lifter 5000 air helper springs, so you don't have to manually air them up. With a simple push button, we can air up our bags. And from the cab of the vehicle easily release the air once we're finished. If we take our key, put it into the auxiliary, or run, position you can see it turns on the lights to our gauge assembly. With power supply to it, we can push the toggle switch up, and air up our compressor and air bag system. Then to release the air, we simply press on the push button release valve and will allow the air back out of the bags, decreasing the pressure in the system. Special note: here you can see we're going below the 5 psi and it causes the pressure gauge to fluctuate as it drives the air back up while I'm releasing the air. Now let's go ahead and show you how to install it. Now to begin our install, we're going to start by mounting our air compressor. more

Firestone Level Command Compressor Installation - 2011 Ford F-150

Today on our 2011 Ford F150, we'll be installing the Firestone level command single gauge heavy duty compressor system, part number F2097. This vehicle is already reequipped with the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper, part number F2525. The vehicle had a preexisting compressor system that has already been removed, and we'll re-utilize the no-drill mounting kit, part number F2529, in conjunction with the tow-ready no-drill mounting bracket, part number 18140, for mounting our gauge. We'll go ahead and go through operation of our new air compressor and switch. Pushing the toggle switch in the up position will trigger the compressor and increase the air pressure in the air bag. Then, to deflate the air bags, we push down on the toggle switch and let the air out. To begin our install, we'll go ahead and mount the compressor to the bracket first. Using the hardware provided with our compressor kit, we'll take the bolt and flat washer and feed it through the bracket, through the attachment point of our compressor, and then tighten it down with the second washer and then a nylon lock nut. We'll go ahead and put all 4 fasteners in place and then tighten then down. We'll go ahead and secure the fitting to the compressor system and then tighten it down. Now with the compressor secured to the bracket, we'll go ahead and install the bracket back onto the truck. more
